Each coin in our collection is meticulously inspected, authenticated, and graded to meet the highest industry standards. As such, we emphasize the importance of informed decision-making and due diligence prior to completing your transaction.

We provide detailed descriptions, high-resolution images, grading reports, and historical context for every item in our inventory. In light of the specialized nature of numismatic items, such as their sensitivity to condition, provenance, and market dynamics, we have implemented a general no-returns policy. This policy is not only intended to protect the authenticity and value of our inventory but also to foster a culture of responsible collecting within the numismatics community. • No Returns or Refunds Policy

  • General Prohibition on Returns, Exchanges, or Refunds

    • Due to the unique and exceptional nature of numismatic items, Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, and their affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, do not accept returns, exchanges, or offer refunds under any circumstances. 

    • This policy is designed to reflect the inherent characteristics of collectible coins and related items, which are often irreplaceable, historically significant, and subject to strict verification processes prior to sale.

  • By proceeding with a purchase, the buyer expressly acknowledges and agrees that all sales are final and binding, and no refunds or returns will be entertained for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Change of Mind or Personal Preference: Numismatic items are highly specialized and curated based on individual buyer preferences. Once a transaction is completed, it cannot be reversed due to subjective dissatisfaction or a change in the buyer’s intentions.

• Infinitesimally Minor Discrepancies in Color, Size, or Appearance: Variations in color, size, or appearance may occur due to factors such as lighting conditions during photography, differences in display settings, or natural wear and tear consistent with the item’s age and history. Such minor discrepancies, which do not materially affect the item’s authenticity, value, or historical significance, shall not constitute grounds for a return or refund.

• Delays in Shipping or Delivery: While we endeavor to ensure timely delivery of all items, delays caused by third-party carriers, customs authorities, or other external factors beyond our control shall not entitle the buyer to a return, exchange, or refund.

• Genesis of the No Returns Policy

  • The prohibition on returns and refunds is rooted in the unique and exceptional nature of numismatic items, which distinguishes them from ordinary consumer goods. 

    • Uniqueness and Irreplaceability of Items: Numismatic items are often one-of-a-kind or part of limited-edition collections. Once an item is sold, it may be impossible to restock or replace it, making returns impractical and potentially disruptive to the integrity of the collection. Each coin or collectible carries its own historical and cultural significance, rendering it unsuitable for resale after being handled or removed from its original packaging.

    • Stringent Verification Processes Prior to Sale: Before listing any item for sale, Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, and their affiliates conduct rigorous inspections and verifications to ensure its authenticity, condition, and historical accuracy. These processes involve expert evaluations and, where applicable, third-party certifications. As such, buyers can be confident that every item offered for sale meets the highest standards of quality and genuineness. Allowing returns would undermine the trust and transparency established through these meticulous procedures.

    • Preservation of Item Integrity and Value: Numismatic items are sensitive to handling, environmental exposure, and other external factors that may affect their condition and market value. Once an item has been shipped and received by the buyer, there is no way to guarantee that it has not been altered, tampered with, or otherwise compromised. Accepting returns could expose both the seller and future buyers to risks associated with diminished authenticity or value, which is antithetical to our commitment to preserving the integrity of each piece.

    • Protecting the Condition of High-Value Items: The value of a coin is often determined by its physical condition, which is meticulously graded using industry-standard scales (e.g., MS-70, AU-50). Even slight handling, cleaning, or exposure to environmental factors after purchase can degrade a coin’s grade, significantly impacting its worth. By adopting a no-returns policy, we ensure that collectors take full responsibility for their purchases and understand the importance of maintaining the coin’s pristine condition once it leaves our care.

    • Comprehensive Pre-Sale Transparency: We believe in empowering our customers with all the information they need to make informed decisions. Before any purchase, we provide detailed descriptions, high-resolution images, grading reports, and historical context for each coin. Our knowledgeable staff is also available to answer questions and guide you through the selection process. With this level of transparency, we expect collectors to thoroughly review the details before committing to a purchase. A no-returns policy reinforces the importance of due diligence and ensures that every transaction is thoughtful and intentional.

Allowing returns could expose our store to risks associated with market volatility, as some buyers might attempt to exploit price swings by returning coins when their value decreases. Our primary goal is to make rare and historically significant numismatic items accessible to all, at fair and reasonable prices, without the overheads or profit-driven motives of a conventional enterprise. Every coin we offer is handpicked with care, often sourced through personal networks, auctions, and trusted partnerships within the collector community.

Because we operate on such a personal and enthusiast-driven level, we simply do not have the resources or capacity to constantly process returns or manage the complexities that come with them. Unlike large businesses, we lack the infrastructure to re-inspect, re-grade, or restock items once they’ve been sold. Additionally, as collectors ourselves, we understand the importance of ensuring that each coin finds a permanent home where it will be cherished and preserved. Allowing returns could disrupt this ethos and compromise the integrity of the items we so carefully curate.

By maintaining a no-returns policy, we can continue to focus our limited resources on sourcing exceptional pieces, providing transparent information, and fostering a community of like-minded collectors. This approach allows us to keep costs reasonable while upholding the trust and authenticity that define our passion project. • Buyer Acknowledgment and Assumption of Responsibility

  • By completing the purchase, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that they have carefully reviewed all available information about the item, including its description, condition, and accompanying images, and are fully satisfied with their decision to proceed. 

  • The buyer further accepts that the no returns policy is a necessary measure to protect the exclusivity, authenticity, and value of numismatic items, and that this policy applies uniformly to all transactions conducted through our platforms.

• Exception

  • First Exception

    • This policy may be overridden is if a valid and enforceable Court order, issued by a court of competent jurisdiction of New Delhi, explicitly mandates otherwise. 

    • In such a case, the terms of the Court order will be adhered to strictly and solely to the extent required by law. 

  • Second Exception

    • Notwithstanding the general prohibition on returns or refunds as outlined in our Returns Policy, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to process a return and a subsequent refund, on a case-by-case basis. 

    • Such exceptions will only be considered if the situation falls under the specific circumstances described in our Authenticity Policy. 

    • Any determination regarding the adherence to or deviation from the Returns Policy shall be made solely at our discretion. Such decisions will be considered final, binding, and not subject to appeal or further review. We reserve the exclusive right to evaluate each case on an individual basis, taking into account the specific circumstances and applicable terms and conditions. Our judgment in these matters shall be conclusive and shall not be open to dispute or challenge by any external party.

• Refund Policy for Items Deemed Inauthentic by Reputable Third-Party Grading Services

  • Unconditional Refund Guarantee for Items Marked Inauthentic

    • In the unlikely event that an item purchased from Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or through our affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, is submitted to a reputable third-party grading service (TPG) and subsequently returned in a "body bag" or otherwise officially marked as inauthentic, we shall provide a full and unconditional refund of the purchase price. 

    • This guarantee applies exclusively to items evaluated by the following recognized and accredited TPGs: Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) , Independent Coin Grading (ICG), and American Numismatic Association Certification Service (ANACS), Paper Money Guarantee (PMG), Professional Coin Grading Service Currency (PCGS Currency) and Paper Money Certification Service (PMCS).

    • No other grading services or evaluations shall be considered valid for the purposes of this policy.

    • To qualify for a refund under this clause, the buyer must provide written notification to us within five (5) calendar days of receiving the graded item from the TPG. 

    • The notification must include a copy of the official grading report or certification issued by the TPG clearly indicating that the item has been deemed inauthentic. 

    • Upon verification of the report and confirmation of its authenticity, we will process a full refund of the purchase price, excluding any shipping, handling, or grading fees incurred by the buyer.

    • In order to qualify for a full or partial refund, the buyer is required to return the item(s) in the exact condition it was originally shipped, ensuring that it remains unaltered and undamaged. 

    • The item must be sent back to us at the buyer's expense, including any associated shipping or handling costs. 

    • Once the returned item is received, our team will conduct a thorough verification process to ensure that it meets the required conditions. 

    • Upon successful verification and confirmation that the item is in its original state, the refund will be issued promptly. 

    • Please note that failure to return the item as specified may result in a delay or denial of the refund request.

  • Exclusions and Limitations

    • This refund policy is strictly limited to items graded by the aforementioned TPGs and does not apply to evaluations conducted by private individuals, non-accredited entities, or other grading services not explicitly listed herein. 

    • Additionally, refunds shall not be issued for items that have been altered, damaged, tampered with, or otherwise mishandled after delivery, as such actions may compromise the item’s condition or authenticity.

    • By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that this refund policy is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions set forth herein, including the requirement to submit the item to one of the approved TPGs for evaluation. 

    • Any deviation from these terms may result in the forfeiture of the right to claim a refund under this policy.

• Refund Policy for Items Deemed Inauthentic by Reputable Third-Party Opinions (Non-TPG)

  • Scope of Applicability

    • In addition to our unconditional refund policy for items deemed inauthentic by accredited third-party grading services (TPGs), Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, and our affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, also recognize the expertise of certain individuals within the numismatic community who have established a proven and public track record of credibility. 

    • Should an item purchased from us be evaluated and deemed inauthentic by such a reputable third party, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis, subject to the conditions outlined herein.

    • This policy applies exclusively to opinions rendered by individuals who meet the following criteria:

      • A minimum of ten (10) years of verifiable experience in numismatics, demonstrated through active participation in the field.

      • A documented history of contributions to the numismatic community, including but not limited to:

        • Curating or exhibiting collections at recognized numismatic events, exhibitions, or museums.

        • Authoring research publications, articles, or books on numismatics that have been publicly acknowledged or peer-reviewed.

        • Holding lifetime roles, leadership roles or active memberships in reputable numismatic organizations.

      • Opinions from individuals who do not meet these stringent qualifications shall not be considered valid for the purposes of this policy.

  • Submission of Third-Party Opinion

    • To initiate a refund request under this policy, the buyer must provide written notification to us within five (5) calendar days of receiving the third-party opinion. The notification must include:

      • A detailed written evaluation or report from the qualified individual clearly stating their opinion that the item is inauthentic.

      • Supporting documentation verifying the individual’s qualifications, including evidence of their public track record in numismatics (e.g., exhibition records, publication details, or organizational affiliations).

    • Upon receipt of the notification, we reserve the right to independently verify the credentials of the third-party evaluator and the validity of their opinion. This may include cross-referencing their contributions to the numismatic community, consulting with internal experts, or seeking additional opinions from other qualified professionals.

  • Refund Process

    • If, after a thorough review, we determine that the third-party opinion is credible and supported by sufficient evidence, we will process a full refund of the purchase price. 

    • The refund will exclude any shipping, handling, or ancillary costs incurred by the buyer, such as fees associated with obtaining the third-party opinion.

    • It is important to note that refunds under this policy are contingent upon the item being returned to us in the same condition as it was at the time of sale. Any alterations, damage, tampering, or mishandling of the item post-delivery may disqualify the buyer from receiving a refund.

  • Exclusions and Limitations

    • This policy does not apply to opinions rendered by unqualified individuals, anonymous sources, or entities lacking a verifiable track record in numismatics. 

    • Furthermore, refunds shall not be issued for items that have been altered, damaged, or otherwise compromised after delivery, as such actions may invalidate the authenticity assessment.

    • By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that this refund policy is contingent upon compliance with all terms and conditions set forth herein, including the requirement to submit a credible and qualified third-party opinion. 

    • Any deviation from these terms may result in the forfeiture of the right to claim a refund under this policy.

• Refund Policy Trigger Clause

  • Any refund, if deemed applicable and at our sole discretion, will only be issued under strict conditions that apply universally and without exception to all transactions conducted on this platform.

  • Specifically, a refund will be triggered solely upon the successful receipt of the item(s) in dispute by us, followed by a comprehensive verification process to confirm that the returned item(s) are indeed the exact same item(s) originally dispatched. 

  • This includes ensuring that the item(s) are in the exact same condition, state, and form as they were at the time of dispatch, including but not limited to their physical appearance, functionality, packaging, documentation, and any accompanying accessories or components.

  • This policy applies uniformly and without exception to all coins, notes, items, accessories, numismatic artifacts, and any other goods transacted on our platform. 

  • No deviations from this policy will be entertained, and failure to comply with these requirements will result in the automatic denial of the refund request. 

  • We reserve the right to reject any return or refund that does not fully satisfy these stringent criteria, and our decision in such matters is final and binding. 

  • By engaging in transactions on this platform, users acknowledge and agree to abide by this policy in its entirety.

• Historical Track Record of Authenticity

  • With twenty-seven years of experience in the field of numismatics, we have never listed for sale a single coin that has been returned by a reputable TPG or non-TPG third party, being marked as inauthentic.

  • Furthermore, to the best of our knowledge, no customer has ever raised a credible suspicion regarding the authenticity of any item sold by Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or through our affiliated platforms.

  • This exceptional track record is a testament to our rigorous sourcing, verification, and quality assurance processes, which are designed to ensure that every item in our inventory meets the highest standards of genuineness and accuracy.
