Verification Process
Expert Review
Each item offered for sale by Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or through our affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, shall undergo a comprehensive examination by our team of seasoned numismatic professionals.
Said examination shall include, but not be limited to, the assessment of authenticity, condition, and historical accuracy.
The aforementioned review shall be conducted in accordance with industry best practices and shall rely upon the collective expertise of individuals possessing extensive knowledge and experience in the field of numismatics.
Third-Party Verification
In instances where an item is deemed to possess significant monetary value, rarity, or historical importance, it may be subject to additional verification by independent third-party experts or accredited grading services.
Such third-party entities shall be selected based on their reputation, reliability, and adherence to stringent industry standards.
The results of any such third-party evaluation shall be duly considered and incorporated into the final determination of the item's authenticity and valuation.
Transparency and Disclosure
To ensure full transparency and enable informed decision-making by prospective buyers, detailed descriptions of each item shall be provided.
Such descriptions shall include, to the best of our knowledge, all relevant information pertaining to the item’s condition, provenance, historical significance, and any known defects or irregularities.
Any limitations or uncertainties regarding the item’s history or condition shall be explicitly disclosed. By providing such comprehensive documentation, we endeavor to fulfill our obligation to furnish accurate and complete information to all parties involved in the transaction.
Buyer's Responsibility
Due Diligence and Inquiry Obligations of the Buyer
It is incumbent upon the prospective purchaser to exercise due diligence in evaluating the item(s) under consideration for acquisition.
To facilitate this process, buyers are strongly encouraged to avail themselves of the opportunity to request supplementary materials, including but not limited to high-resolution images, detailed descriptions, or any additional documentation that may assist in their assessment of the item’s characteristics.
Furthermore, buyers are advised to pose any and all inquiries pertaining to the authenticity, condition, provenance, or historical significance of the item prior to the consummation of the transaction.
Such inquiries may encompass, without limitation, questions regarding the item’s grading, any known defects, restoration work, or other factors that may materially affect its value or desirability.
The onus is on the buyer to ensure that they have obtained sufficient information to make an informed decision regarding the purchase.
While Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, and our affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, endeavor to provide comprehensive and accurate details for each item, it remains the sole responsibility of the buyer to seek clarification or additional information as deemed necessary to satisfy their requirements.
Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk by the Buyer
By proceeding with the purchase of any item offered for sale by Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or through our associated platforms, the buyer expressly acknowledges and affirms that they have thoroughly reviewed all available information, including but not limited to written descriptions, accompanying images, and any supplementary materials provided.
Furthermore, the buyer represents and warrants that they have had the opportunity to pose any questions or concerns regarding the item’s authenticity, condition, provenance, or any other relevant matter and that such inquiries, if made, have been addressed to their satisfaction.
In completing the transaction, the buyer hereby assumes all risks associated with the purchase, including but not limited to any discrepancies or ambiguities in the item’s description, condition, or historical attribution that may arise subsequent to the completion of the sale.
The buyer further acknowledges that they have relied solely upon their own independent evaluation and judgment in determining the suitability of the item for their purposes and have not relied upon any representations, warranties, or guarantees, whether express or implied, beyond those explicitly set forth in this Authenticity Policy and General Terms and Conditions governing the transaction.
Disclaimer of Liability for Post-Purchase Discrepancies
Notwithstanding the rigorous verification processes employed by Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, and our affiliated entities, the buyer understands and agrees that the final determination of the item’s acceptability rests exclusively with themselves.
Any failure on the part of the buyer to conduct a thorough review of the available information or to raise pertinent inquiries prior to the completion of the purchase shall constitute an irrevocable waiver of any claims, disputes, or grievances arising thereafter.
Furthermore, the buyer expressly waives any and all rights to assert claims against Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or any of their respective affiliates, agents, or representatives based on alleged deficiencies, inaccuracies, or misrepresentations regarding the item, provided that such claims are not substantiated by clear and convincing evidence of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the seller (us).
Indemnification and Release
By entering into the transaction, the buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, r/IndianCoins, r/IndianCoinSales and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with the buyer’s failure to conduct adequate due diligence or their reliance upon incomplete or inaccurate information.
The buyer further releases and discharges Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales and their affiliated entities from any and all obligations, liabilities, or responsibilities arising from or related to the item’s condition, authenticity, or historical accuracy, except as expressly provided for in the Authenticity Policy outlined herein.
Disputes Regarding Authenticity
Timely Notification of Concerns Pertaining to Authenticity
In the event that a buyer harbors any concerns or reservations regarding the authenticity of an item purchased from Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or through our affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, it shall be incumbent upon the buyer to notify the seller in writing of such concerns within a period not exceeding forty-eight (48) hours from the date of receipt of the item.
Failure to adhere to this prescribed timeframe may result in the forfeiture of the buyer’s right to contest the authenticity of the item under this policy.
Such notification must include a written and detailed explanation of the basis for the buyer’s concerns.
The burden of initiating this dispute resolution process rests solely with the buyer, and all communications must be conducted in good faith and with the intent to resolve the matter amicably.
Submission of Credible Evidence to Substantiate Claims
Upon notifying us of a dispute regarding authenticity, the buyer shall be required to furnish credible and verifiable evidence to substantiate their claim.
Such evidence may include, but is not limited to, a formal evaluation, certification, or written opinion issued by a recognized authority or accredited third-party grading (TPG) service with expertise in numismatics.
The evidence provided must clearly demonstrate, to a reasonable degree of certainty, that the item in question is not authentic as represented at the time of sale.
The cost of obtaining such evidence, including any fees associated with third-party evaluations or certifications, shall be borne exclusively by the buyer unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by us.
Furthermore, the seller reserves the right to independently verify the credibility and reliability of any evidence submitted by the buyer, and the buyer agrees to cooperate fully in facilitating any such verification efforts.
Review and Resolution of Authenticity Disputes
Upon receipt of the buyer’s notification and supporting evidence, the seller shall undertake a thorough review of the claim in accordance with the procedures set forth herein.
This review process may include, but is not limited to, consultation with internal experts, re-examination of the item in question, and/or submission of the item to an independent third-party authority for further evaluation.
If, following the completion of the review process, the item is determined to be inauthentic, the seller shall work diligently and in good faith with the buyer to resolve the matter in a manner that is fair, equitable, and transparent.
Potential resolutions may include, but are not limited to, a full or partial refund of the purchase price (as outlined in the Returns Policy), replacement of the item with an authentic equivalent (if available), or other remedies as mutually agreed upon by the parties.
In the event that the seller determines, in its sole discretion, that the item is authentic and that the buyer’s claim lacks merit, the seller shall provide written notification to the buyer detailing the basis for such determination. The buyer acknowledges and agrees that the seller’s determination, absent clear and convincing evidence of error or misconduct, shall be final and binding.
Limitation of Liability and Exclusion of Consequential Damages
Notwithstanding any provision contained herein, the liability of Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, or representatives arising out of or related to disputes concerning the authenticity of an item shall be strictly limited to the amount paid by the buyer for the item in question.
Under no circumstances shall the seller be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of use, or diminished value of the item, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether the seller was advised of the possibility thereof.
Limitations
Scope of Applicability of the Authenticity Guarantee
The authenticity guarantee provided by Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box , and our affiliated platforms, including r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales, is expressly limited to items purchased directly from these entities or through their authorized channels.
This guarantee does not extend to items acquired from third-party sellers, private collectors, or any other sources not explicitly associated with Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or their respective platforms.
Furthermore, the authenticity guarantee is contingent upon the buyer’s compliance with all terms and conditions set forth in this policy, including but not limited to the obligations outlined in the Buyer’s Responsibility and Disputes Regarding Authenticity sections. Any deviation from these terms may result in the nullification of the guarantee at the sole discretion of the seller.
Exclusion of Liability for Post-Delivery Alterations or Damage
Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, and their affiliated entities shall not be held liable or responsible for any alterations, damage, tampering, or modifications to an item that occur subsequent to its delivery to the buyer.
This includes, but is not limited to, physical damage, restoration attempts, cleaning, improper storage, environmental exposure, or any other actions or omissions that may affect the item’s condition, appearance, or authenticity.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the item is handled, stored, and maintained in a manner consistent with industry best practices for numismatic collectibles.
Any changes to the item’s state after delivery shall be deemed outside the scope of the seller’s control and shall absolve the seller of any obligation under the authenticity guarantee.
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties and Representations
Unless explicitly stated herein, no warranties, guarantees, or representations, whether express or implied, are made by Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, or their affiliated entities regarding the condition, market value, historical significance, or future performance of any item sold.
The authenticity guarantee provided herein is strictly limited to the assurance that the item is genuine as represented at the time of sale and does not encompass any other attributes or characteristics of the item.
Limitation of Remedies for Non-Compliance
In the event that a buyer fails to adhere to the terms and conditions of this policy, including but not limited to the timely notification of disputes, the provision of credible evidence, or the proper handling of the item post-delivery, the remedies available under the authenticity guarantee may be forfeited or otherwise limited.
The buyer acknowledges and agrees that any such forfeiture or limitation shall not constitute a waiver of the seller’s rights or defenses under applicable law or the various Policies outlined throughout this website.
Exclusion of Liability for Indirect, Incidental, Special, or Consequential Damages
Indian Coin Forvm, The Coin Box, r/IndianCoins and r/IndianCoinSales shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the purchase, use, or inability to use the items sold.
This exclusion applies regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether the seller was advised of the possibility thereof.
Such damages may include, but are not limited to, loss of profits, loss of use, diminished value, or any other economic or non-economic harm.
Cap on Total Liability
Our total liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the purchase of any item, shall be strictly limited to the maximum amount paid by you for the specific item in question.
In no event shall our liability exceed the purchase price of the item giving rise to the claim.
This limitation of liability applies to all claims, damages, losses, or expenses, whether arising from a single incident or multiple incidents, and is cumulative rather than per occurrence.
By proceeding with the purchase, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that this cap on liability is reasonable and reflects the allocation of risk between the parties.
