Indian Coin Forvm was started in 2022 as an online group with the intention of networking with like-minded individuals who seek to collect, preserve, and promote the beautiful hobby of numismatics.

Today, Indian Coin Forvm is a melting pot for discourses about everything under the sun, such as (but not restricted to) coins, stamps, watches, art, HotWheels, bullion, history, documents, paintings, and culture. Over time, the group swelled and currently stands at around a hundred people in the Telegram group.

The website forvm.in was created on May 17, 2024. The name chosen was 'forvm' (i.e., forum), an ancient Roman term for a public square that serves as an assembly place for open discussion.
